Women led businesses have increased participation and leadership in the development of climate-resilient agriculture, water, renewable energy and service markets and benefit from equal access to resources and services
UN Women supported the development and/or expansion of women led business by strenghtening their capacities and skills to become active members of the economy. In addition, UN Women developed a business model and promotes their access to the market (gender-responsive financial products and services). About a 100 women accessed to finance facilities, 25 groups supported on cash crops and other agriculture items transormation business like cocoa, coffee, Honey, Nuts, Fish production assets and equipment, and a rehabilitation of women house for refugee, dialogue and self realisation .

Innovative solutions are consolidated and scaled up to strengthen rural women’s economic empowerment
Haiti Country Office achieved relevant milestones to offer women innovative solutions and promote rural women´s economic empowerment however, it was not possible to advance on this specific activity due to Haiti socio-political, economic and health crisis and generalized violence context. The Country Office will assess priorities and the possibility to move this activity forward on 2023.

The socio-cultural settings, as well as legislative, political, institutional and organizational frameworks are strengthened and structured to respond to domestic violence against women and girls
UN Women supported policy making by engaging government institutions and Civil Society Organizations including women led organizations in several consultations and dialogue processes within the framework of the Spotlight Programme. In addition several advocacy campaigns took place throughout the year to raise awareness on the impact of violence against women in society and to seek changes in social norms and cultural behavior by engaging men and boys while building their capacities through trainings addressing masculitinies. Social media campaigns mobilized multisector stakeholdes to drive local cultural behavior with a positive approach towards women.

To drive more effective and efficient United Nations system coordination and strategic partnerships on gender equality and women’s empowerment
Coordination of th gender mainstreaming of the UNDCF through the GTG, the humanitarian actions through REGAH, the technical and financial partners (PTF) as well as the co sharing of the Table Thematique Genre with the Ministry of gender are effective.
