By 2020, the Work Plan focuses mainly on activities related to the Beijung + 25 anniversary, 20 years of Resolution 1325, Campaign for Equality and support to the Government and Civil Society in relation to national contingency and social mobilizations. Within that framework, the process of a new constitution will be supported, support for the Ministry of Women through the Collaboration Agreement and contributions through the United Nations System for the implementation of OHCHR recommendations on human rights violations.

Data reported for 2022 results against this indicator was obtained as part of a learning process on social norms and therefore may not accurately reflect the results obtained. Internal reviews of data collected on social norms across relevant indicators, coupled with external reviews, are informing the design of UN Women’s principled approach to social & gender norms change. This will be reflected in changes to the indicators to be introduced in the Mid-Term Review of the Strategic Plan.

UN Women has contributed significantly to strengthening institutional capacities to mainstream the gender approach, consistent with the Beijing Platform for Action, through direct support to government, civil society and collaborative work with the United Nations System. It has signed 12 memorandums of understanding with the government to mainstream the gender approach in the State. As a result of these agreements, 1,200 public officials have received training on gender, public policies and gender violence. UN Women is supporting the design of emblematic policies and reforms such as the National Care System, Public Security and Migration. UN Women has collaborated with civil society to publicly position the gender agenda in the framework of the discussion of the new constitution, through the generation of knowledge and direct work with women in the territories. With the United Nations System, it developed the 2023-2026 cooperation framework that includes a gender pillar, a fact highly valued by the government, based on the feminist approach of President Boric.Disclaimer and notes
