The Country Office has conducted a series of interviews to recruit new personnel through a competitive process, two new staff members namely, Finance and Programme Assistant, and the Transport Assistant. The Country Office ensured fairness and competitiveness by following UN Women's HR policies and standard procedures. Vacancies were publicly advertised, candidates were assessed against clear and objective criteria, and competency-based interviews were conducted by diverse panels using documented scoring methods to ensure transparency and merit-based selection. The recruitment outcomes demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion by encouraging applications from varied backgrounds and promoting balanced representation. Throughout the process, UN values; integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity; were consistently upheld, ensuring transparency, impartiality, and accountability. The selected candidates bring valuable experience from other UN agencies. Performance assessments have also been carried out to ensure that employees continue to maintain and improve their performance.

To ensure a diverse and highly performing cadre of personnel, all recruitment processes are inclusive, competitive, transparent and rigorous evaluation processes and background checks are conducted (for some contract types an independent review board also reviews the process).

To ensure a diverse and high-performing workforce, the CO implemented inclusive and competitive recruitment processes throughout the reporting period. These processes were characterized by transparent procedures, rigorous evaluation mechanisms, and comprehensive background checks. For certain contract types, an independent review board was also engaged to assess and provide additional scrutiny to the recruitment process. These measures aimed to strengthen the quality of staff selection, promoting diversity and ensuring that qualified and capable individuals are recruited to support the CO's goals and objectives.

To ensure UN Women staff highly performs, UN Women capacitated its staff and All staff have completed their PMDs and SC/UNV evaluations for 2022 and all contract extensions were done. Key Result indicators and individual workplans have been completed for 2023 (offline for those experiencing challenges in accessing online portals). Majority of the staff have completed their mandatory course with some staff at various levels of completion. Staff are constantly reminded to complete their courses within the first 90 - 100 days of onboarding. A compliance status report to be circulated for staff to check if all course certificates that have been completed are uploaded and reflecting.
