UN Women Bahrain is fully-funded by the Government of Bahrain as a Net Contributing Country. In this context, UN Women Bahrain was able to access funds to pilot innovations under the coordination mandate to strengthen knowledge and accountability for the UNCT on gender mainstreaming through all stages of the UNSDCF cycle, to establish a strong foundation to achieve gender results in the next UNSDCF 2025-2029. Specifically, UN Women Bahrain was able to achieve, inter alia, the following: Establishment of a UNCT Gender Theme Group in adherence to the UNSDG global standards and procedures; Enhanced accountability of the UNCT for implementation of the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard; Provision of data and analysis on gender investments in the JWP as assessed through the accurate application of the Gender Equality Marker; Compilation of national and UN data on gender equality and women�s empowerment in Bahrain, available to all UNCT members to support gender mainstreaming efforts; The updated Common Country Assessment scored "meets requirements" of UNCT-SWAP GES performance indicator 1.1 for the first time; Increased public awareness of UN Women�s coordination mandate and the Gender Theme Group through public outreach and social media coverage; Development of a Gender Theme Group annual report on workplan implementation.
