UN Women continues to support the Colombian State in the comprehensive reintegration of women peace signatories, their families and communities: 1. Through the strengthening of 11 productive initiatives in 8 departments, coordinating with the agency for reintegration and normalization to guarantee sustainability. 2 Alliances with the National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance of Colombia (INVIMA) to advance in the management of health certifications that allow expanding the marketing of their products, and the National Federation of Merchants (FENALCO) Nariño section to strengthen marketing capabilities in the 11 initiatives, through technical field views (8), virtual group training (3) and individual advice (31).

Communities of the PDET municipalities prioritized by the National Government, as a part of the rural integral reform, improve their well-being through the design and implementation of strategies, with a differential and gender approach, and with the support of the UN Country Team as a complement to the efforts of the Colombian State

Provided support to over 50 women's and civil society organizations, including direct partners and allies. This also includes enhancing the sustainability of their economic autonomy processes as peace signatories and strengthening their capacity for community resilience. Additionally, support was given to 6 women's platforms and other collective action mechanisms, which play a critical role as peacebuilders and advocates in the peace processes and in monitoring the implementation of agreements through the Special Instance for Women. Key achievements include: With the WPHF , the CO has strengthened capacities of women victims of internal forced displacement and women’s participation in peacebuilding. In particular, 25 CSOs (including youth, afro-Colombian, rural and transgender women CSOs) finalized the implementation of projects benefiting 5,288 Colombians (4,370 women and girls), including small grants for CSOs’ organizational strengthening organizational capacities. In addition, in 2024, a new call for proposals was launched to strengthen women’s participation in climate security response. With the support of KOICA , 12 CSOs are implementing 26 productive initiatives, benefiting 1,356 rural women (afro-Colombian, indigenous, young and older women) , by promoting their leadership in agricultural local businesses in the context of peace implementation.

Judicial and non-judicial monitoring, control, clarification and investigation bodies and humanitarian response key stakeholders strengthen their capacities for care of the prioritized population and the administration of justice with a differential approach, with the support of the UN Country Team for state efforts

UN Women continues to provide political and technical support to the Comprehensive Peace System (SIP for its acronym in Spanish) and the Ministry of Justice in addressing sexual and gender-based violence through the following initiatives: 1. Strengthening capacities to clarify the truth and provide comprehensive care for victims, with a focus on the differential approach of the Special Jurisdiction for macro-cases 05 and 11. 2. Supporting the SIP Gender Technical Assistance Group to enhance the impact of women's organizations in transitional justice processes. 3. Backing proposals aimed at empowering victims of sexual and gender-based violence before the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP). 4. Assisting the Ministry of Justice in the JEP-national government coordination group to integrate gender considerations in the implementation of restorative projects and to mainstream gender in the National Search System, as well as in the formulation of a comprehensive policy for locating missing persons. Moreover, as a part of the humanitarian strategy, UN Women supported local CSOs, their community resilience and protection capacity in contexts of humanitarian crisis (Juntas and CERF project).

Women and girls in Venezuela's migrant population, returned Colombian population and host communities receive humanitarian care in an integrated, differential, coordinated and quality manner; enjoy enabling environments; access quality and differentiated services; and access the labour market and entrepreneurship opportunities expeditiously and massively; in the framework of the combined action of state institutions, relevant non-governmental actors and other actors, with UN Women's contribution to the efforts of the National Government and in coordination with the UN Country Team

Thanks to UN Women's design and implementation of a comprehensive response model, more than 8,000 women and girls in nine cities across Colombia gained access to protection and empowerment mechanisms in areas with high migratory impact. These efforts included support for 8,052 migrant women and women from host communities through the Beyond Flags We Are Women project, as well as 578 women and 406 girls in mobility contexts along the Colombia-Ecuador border. In 2024, 253 women successfully implemented community advocacy plans in collaboration with institutions, reaching 2,318 women with actions aimed at advancing women’s rights. Additionally, 4,441 women accessed protection mechanisms through community support spaces designed with a gender perspective, which also contributed to strengthening their organizations. Efforts to promote transformative gender norms included training for 306 men on new masculinities, fostering positive changes in attitudes and behaviors. At the Colombia-Ecuador border, 578 women and 406 girls in human mobility situations accessed critical protection services. These included accommodation for 503 women and 380 girls, support for 25 women and 8 girls experiencing GBV, and distribution of humanitarian kits to 50 women and 18 girls. Moreover, 1,679 women strengthened their capacities to access livelihoods through programs focused on empowerment and employability. UN Women continues to drive the inclusion of gender approaches in inter-agency responses, co-leading the National GBV Coordination Space and promoting gender-sensitive practices in socioeconomic integration projects for migrants across multiple territories. By implementing the gender and age marker in the Regional Migration Response Plan (RMRP) and leading the application of the Policy for the Prevention and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PEAS), UN Women ensures that systemic and sustainable solutions are embedded in humanitarian and development frameworks. These actions collectively contribute to creating safer, more equitable environments for migrant women and girls, while advancing broader gender equality objectives.

The national government and local entities strengthen their capacities to accelerate the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs with the support of the UN Women, strengthening the production, analysis and use of gender statistics

The first survey on Violence Against Women in Politics in Colombia is underway, examining the barriers faced by women candidates. This study documents experiences of violence, analyzes causes and effects, and its findings and solutions will be shared with authorities to drive immediate action, especially in the context of the 2026 elections. In addition, innovative tools are empowering data ecosystems with a differential approach. In collaboration with IGAC, UN Women supported the creation of the Gender Gaps in Land Tenure Geo-Viewer . This tool offers key indicators on women’s access to land and supports monitoring of policies related to the Multipurpose Cadastre and Rural Reform, aligning with the Peace Agreements to promote informed, gender-inclusive public policies. UN Women also supported the development of the Microsite of the Intercultural School Geography for Life , offering training resources to strengthen community participation in cadastre processes. These actions have contributed to an increase the registration of women interested in land has increased between 3 and 9% in one year of implementing the multipurpose cadastre, showing that the incorporation of the gender approach is helping to close gaps in land access and tenure. UN Women’s knowledge products are driving evidence-based policymaking. The 3rd edition of “Women and Men: Gender Gaps in Colombia” was launched with a robust media strategy, which included 43 press releases, and a return on media investment of over 320 million COP, generating over 60,000 views and 3,000 social media interactions. Updated gender profiles for Cauca and Nariño provided critical sex-disaggregated data with intersectional insights, shaping development plans for 2024–2027. Additionally, the training programs supported by UN Women have built capacity of producers and users of statistics. Two key courses reached 2,062 participants. The Training Course on Gender Statistics and Indicators, developed with ECLAC and DANE, enhanced the skills of 41 professionals in analyzing and using gender statistics. And, the Training Course on Gender-Focused Land Survey Profiles, conducted with IGAC, trained 2,021 individuals. With the skills developed, participants are promoting initiatives to address gender gaps, including the inclusion for the first time of women's participation in the land recognition phase, with over 3,000 rural women currently participating in processes to improve their access to land. UN Women has also facilitated dialogue on gender-responsive data frameworks through 5 key roundtables: the Reference Group for the National Study on Violence Against Women in Politics, the Interdisciplinary Roundtable on Citizenship-Based Data, the Women and Land Roundtable, The International Cooperation Gender Roundtable (which looked to mobilize resources for the national VAW survey), and the Gender and Environment Roundtable which strengthened regional collaboration on climate change indicators.
