Outcome progress note for the year

High quality of programmes through knowledge, innovation, results-based management and evaluation

UN Women India CO in 2021 regularly monitored and assessed both core and non-core funded programmes. The CO through regular monitoring and reporting, gave feedback to the 6 donor funded programmes, ensuring that the data collection process help monitor performance indicators of the programmes, eventually resulting in effective changes on the ground. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which restricted travel, the India CO, moved to stronger reporting and virtual meetings to ensure that the monitoring and assessments remain unaffected. Different knowledge management practices were adopted based on the contextualised needs of the programme. They ranged from newsletters, webinars, weekly field team meetings to virtual surveys. The SCE programme conducted a rapid assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently changed the strategy of the programme to respond to findings.
