Advancing partnerships & resourcing; Effectively influencing for impact & scale
In 2024 UN Women Mozambique continued advancing partnerships to effectively influence change at scale. The CO has a total of 20,805 followers on Facebook and 1,379 followers on Twitter and is using both platforms to give visibility to the work of UN Women in Mozambique and implementing partners. It is also worth mentioning the efforts in partnership building and maintenance. Adding to the existing implementing partners, the CO also worked with: 1. AIESEC: MoU signed to work on youth engagement, advancing gender equaity and WEE. 2. FAO: conversations on-going and working on a joint-programming proposal on Blue Economy & Gender 3. WB: conversaitons on-going to establish agreements on gender and ICT projects and gender & Blue Economy. 4. Girl Move Academy: partnership established in the framework of AGCCI. 5. Vodacom: partnership established to work on EVAW. Dissemination of messages, private sectorengagementdialogues, etc. 6. EY: partnership established and MoU pending approval, to work on WEE matters. 7. GIZ: talks and meetings on track to collaborate on WPS projects. 8. PMCET: AGCCI partner, considered an implementaiton partners.NGOworkin on training women in ICT. 9. Standard Bank: meetings have been held to form a partnership regarding WEE and female access to financing. 10. Access Bank:meetings have been held to form a partnership regarding WEE and female access to financing. This has showed the CO commitment to diversifying partnerships by also bringing the private sector to the table in efforts to advance UN Women´s mission in Gender Equality,

The CO continued its efforts on RM and on partnership formulation bringing in a total of $6m from KOICA and $2m from Japan. The CO further developed some concept notes and proposals during the year that are expected to bring in additional funds in 2024. To strength and accelerate implementation, the CO established 4 new additiional partnerships making a total 7 all that contributed to the CO results. The CO floated another call for proposal to select more partners and this process is expected to conclude in the year 2024.
