    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

Improved socio-economic security of urban and rural women

During the reporting period this outcome was off track. Due to Budgetary constraints and COVID 19 restrictions this outcome area was not implemented by UNDP. There is only one Financial Inclusion Training (Money Mindedness) and Value Add Training (Food Processing) conducted. 33 participants (29 Female, 4 Males] attended. Increased business management, planning and setting up small businesses and growing the business knowledge and skills acquired during the training. Market vendors gained skills and knowledge on adding value to food such as food processing and preservation techniques, labeling and packaging products. Trainings were outsourced to external partners namely ANZ bank and Jedom organics. Farming machines (Tillers (3), small chainsaw(2) and grass cutters (1), were distributed to 3 MVAs (Gizo, Honiara, Auki), this has strengthen the linkage between farmer vendors and the MVAs. Creating new partnerships in Agriculture trainings and improved food production for farmers to bring to the markets.

Improved socio-economic security of urban and rural women

There was no activity implemented in 2022 by the implementing partner due to lack of staff in Honiara, Solomon Islands. A recruitment process will take place in early 2023.
