    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

Improved management of financial and human resources in pursuit of results.

Despite a very challenging year in the form of political, economic and humantarian crises unfolding in Sri Lanka, the office has adapted where possible and achieved a utilisation rate of 97% and a delivery rate of 74%. [The latter figure will increase once payments are resolved in Quantum.] This has been possible through the commitment of staff, deployment of successful measures to re-programme funds, close collaboration with partners, and rigourous management of financial resources.

Improved management of financial and human resources in pursuit of results.

The office was able to effectively operate despite the constraints caused by COVID-19. Business continuity was managed through WHF modality and the office was able to smoothly close out three projects. The office achieved a 70% delivery rate as at 31 December 2021, despite the setbacks faced by COVID-19. Financial management was handled on time (e.g. FACE liquidation was completed for the ongoing projects and the projects that have ended on time) and the office liaised with Regional Office colleagues successfully on this front. The staff are well capacitated to continue in line with UN Women regulations.
