Common indicators are those that appear verbatim in at least two United Nations entities’ results frameworks and, where possible, are drawn directly from globally agreed frameworks. Complementary indicators are those not repeated verbatim in another United Nations entity’s results framework but are related or provide alternative, complementary perspectives on the same issue, high-level result, or area of work, such as a Sustainable Development Goal target.

QCPR/QCPR-Derived
QCPR indicators reflect the priorities set in the Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR), which guides how the UN system supports development efforts globally. QCPR-derived indicators are based on these QCPR priorities but are tailored to better capture and reflect UN Women’s specific role and mandate within the UN development system.
