    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

    Advancing business transformation

In 2025, UN Women Bolivia advanced business transformation by strengthening financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and digital enablement, ensuring that corporate services effectively supported programme delivery and organisational resilience. The Country Office achieved a 5% cost recovery rate, ensuring the equitable allocation of shared operational costs—including common premises, utilities, connectivity, and other overheads—across projects. This result reflects full compliance with UN Women cost recovery policies and contributed to more efficient use of organisational resources. Operational modernization was further advanced through targeted digital transformation initiatives. The Country Office upgraded staff workstations, meeting room technology, and office equipment to support hybrid work and external engagement. Network infrastructure was modernized with dual internet channels, enhancing connectivity, redundancy, and operational continuity. Secure and professional virtual collaboration was strengthened through the migration to PEXIP and Microsoft Teams Pro, aligned with corporate security and ICT standards. Business processes and productivity were further enhanced through the launch of a dedicated SharePoint site for centralized information management and the acquisition of Adobe and Copilot Pro Business licenses, improving collaboration, document quality, and workflow efficiency. Together, these measures established a more integrated, secure, and digitally enabled working environment. In parallel, inter-agency collaboration contributed to resource optimization. Through active participation in the UN inter-agency Operations Management Team (OMT), UN Women Bolivia achieved tangible cost efficiencies by leveraging joint procurement arrangements, shared Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), and coordinated negotiations with service providers, particularly in travel and common services. These efforts strengthened inter-agency synergies while reducing operational costs. Overall, these results demonstrate that UN Women Bolivia advanced business transformation by embedding cost recovery, digital innovation, and inter-agency collaboration into core operations, strengthening organisational efficiency and sustainability in support of UN Women’s mandate.
