UN system coordination has been strengthened within the design and implementation of the JP. 2021 has been highly successful for the CO in relation to interagency work. UN Women has led the UNDAF Results Group 4.2 for Gender Equality for another year. In 2021 the group has consolidated their inter agency work developing an effective and efficient work. It met periodically throughout the year prioritizing the design and articulation of actions to develop the UNCT SWAP Gender Score Card that has been approved by the UNCT, the results show that eight of fifteen indicators exceed minimum requirements and three meet minimum requirements. On the other hand, UN Women led, together with UNFPA and OHCHR, the development of the interagency strategy for the Prevention of Acts of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA). Within the UNCT, UN Women has regularly included gender and women's rights issues on the agenda. Active participation of UN Women has been key to include the gender perspective in the Common Country Analysis CCA. The total budget for the Joint Programme Portfolio for 2021 is USD 1,003,638. This represents 51% of the total percentage of the CO´s total available budget portfolio ($ 1,982,963). The increase in the portfolio in joint programs is USD 693,942.38, which represents an increase of 224% compared to the previous year. The vision of the Country Office is to continue increasing the budget in joint programs. There is a total of 5 joint programs approved in 2020 and that will continue their implementation throughout 2021: i) Dialogue and Human Rights Program for Peace building, financed by the PBF together with UNDP and OHCHR. UN Women implements a budget of USD 542,000. II) Joint Program for the Mitigation of the Socioeconomic Impacts of COVID 19 on Self-Employed Women, financed by the MPTF fund for its implementation throughout 2021 together with ILO and UNDP. UN Women implements a budget of 244,602 USD. III) Joint Program towards a New Urban Policy: Inclusive Cities with a Gender and Human Rights Approach, funded by Sweden through UN-HABITAT, together with OHCHR, UNDP and UNODC. UN Women implement a budget of USD 30,000. IV) Project to Support the effective exercise of women’s political rights in the electoral process with UNDP financed by Canadian cooperation. UN Women implements a budget of USD 85,000; and VI) The Joint Program financed by SGD Fund (Window 1) destined to the development of Financing Guidelines for the response to violence against women and children, to be implemented together with UNFPA and UNICEF, its execution period is 2021 - 2021, the budget to be implemented by UN Women is 290,174 USD. Un Women have been designated as chair agency of the Interagency Committee of gender of the development partners and donors group – CIAG. In this context, UN Women played an active role in the leadership, coordination and planning of the meetings convened throughout the year.

Bolivia Country Office has positioned itself as the leading agency on issues related to gender equality and women's empowerment in the UNCT. It has also actively engaged in the process of elaboration of the new UNSDCF advocating for the inclusion of the gender perspective. As results of this process: The inclusion of gender data and statistics in the CCA has been ensured. 3 thematic areas prioritized by UN Women Country Office were included in the 3 strategic priorities of the UNSDCF. 5 out of 11 Effects/Outcomes of UNSDCF included mentions to women, gender equality and parity. 10 out of 29 outputs include gender equality and women's empowerment approach. Outcomes of CO Strategic Note are aligned with 3 outcomes of the UNSDCF related to gender equality and women's empowerment. UN Women has maintained leadership in Results Group 4.2, achieving to include in its plan actions about the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA and an interagency communications strategy to put end to violence against women. In order to comply with the UNCT SWAP, 7 UN agencies participated in a training process on the Gender Marker and drafted an adaptation document to be implemented in 2023. UNCT SWAP Gender Score Card results showed that eight of fifteen indicators (53%) exceed minimum requirements and three (20%) meet minimum requirements. Together with 7 UN Agencies in the country, 7 new proposals were prepared to be presented to different donors ensuring the inclusion of the gender equality perspective, women's empowerment, and women's human rights. 2 of the proposals were submitted, 1 was rejected and 4 are still waiting to be sent. 24% of the budget of the Country Office corresponds to Joint Programmes. Bolivia CO has successfully finalized the country portfolio evaluation achieving a score of 95/100, which highlights that working in an articulated manner with other UN entities made it possible to achieve satisfactory results, therefore alliances with partners agencies that have good added value should leveraged.
