    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

Nurturing an empowerment workforce and advancing an inclusive UN Women culture

During 2024, in line with the difficult context of Niger, UN Women focused on capacity building, coacthing and local monitoring to boost the effectiveness of the office's intervention: Staff, state and civil society partners now have a better knowledge of UN Women's organizational culture through a series of trainings; monitoring and accommodations organized by UN Women's STFFS during the year. All funded partners have been strengthened on the management of UN Women's financial procedures, results-based management, communication and knowledge management. More than 158 state frameworks have been strengthened by UN Women on gender mainstreaming including the PBSG, RBM, the Women, Peace agenda and UN Women's administrative and financial procedures. Mechanisms and platforms for virtual and face-to-face exchanges have been set up and regularly led by UN Women staff, especially the cross-functional staff (Monitoring and Evaluation, Knowledge Management, Partnership and Resource Mobilization, Communication and Digitalization) who have developed annual plans in line with the objectives of the office's annual plan.

Nurturing an empowerment workforce and advancing an inclusive UN Women culture

The year 2023 was marked by a political crisis with limitations in the implementation of UN Women's annual plan. The office has put in place a strategy focusing on the well-being of staff through training on stress management, crisis management and committees to hold regular meetings with staff and regularly follow up with colleagues who will need any support. The office has equipped colleagues in terms of internet, to make it easier for colleagues who were forced to work from home
