MCO made some progress in relation to Cost Recovery. The Resource Mobilisation from Debeers and Irish Aid contributed to an increased EXB funding to be carried over in Y2024.

In 2024 SAMCO’s effort on responsiveness and ethical leadership led to a proactive and responsive approach to challenges, while maintaining high standards of integrity. The office has focused on adapting and evolving its approach to achieve large-scale impact. This was achieved through strategic planning and transforming its business model, the organization ensures that its efforts are aligned with its mission to promote gender equality and empower women worldwide. While operating in the Middle Income countries, through the Women Economic Empowerment Portfolio UN Women and its partners have been working with government of Botswana, Namibia and South Africa since 2017 to identify women in the low-income informal sector to support ensuring that no one is left behind
