    Nurturing a diverse and empowered workforce and advancing an inclusive UN-Women culture

    UN Women Honduras continues to promote an enabling and accountable work environment grounded in full adherence to human resources policies, procedures and ethical conduct standards. Staff members are consistently informed of the available mechanisms for reporting and addressing any form of misconduct or non-ethical behavior, ensuring transparency and safeguarding. During the reporting period, recruitment and selection processes were completed within the established corporate timeline of eight weeks, demonstrating improved efficiency in talent acquisition. Additionally, 80% of personnel successfully completed their mandatory training requirements, strengthening compliance and capacity across the office. Compared to 2024, the staff retention rate increased, reflecting greater stability and continuity in workforce management. Despite budget reductions and the withdrawal of some donors from the country portfolio, the office structure has been largely maintained, ensuring operational continuity and the sustained delivery of programmatic results.

    UNWOMEN Honduras Office conducted xx process of recruitment and selection under Service Contract modality: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (Ending Violence Against Women area) Programme Associate (Women's Economic Empowerment Area) Monitoring and Evaluation Associate (Women's Economic Empowerment Area) Administrative Assistant (Office) Administrative Assistant (Ending Violence Against Women area) Coordinator EVAW (Elimination Of Violence Against Women area) Cortes Technical Link (Ending Violence Against Women area) Communication Assistant (Women's Economic Empowerment Area) These processes were concluded in 7-8 weeks in average. The mandatory trainings are 8: · BSAFE · Ethics and Integrity at the United Nations · Fraud and Corruption Awareness and Prevention · I Know Gender: An Introduction to Gender Equality for UN staff · Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse · UN Women Information Security Course · United Nations Course on Prevention of Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Abuse of Authority · United Nations Human Rights Responsibilities Of 23 Staff, Service Contract and Special Service Agreement, the report generated on October, 2023 reflected: 79 courses completed (69%), 13 courses in progress (11%) and 23 courses not started (20%); report attached. The strategy adopted by Human Resources is in the process of induction take all the courses is required, for this reason the progress against 2022 is significant. Note: Some courses just requiered to be uploaded to Quantum, because some of them were not migrated.

    UNWOMEN Honduras´s team is 100% committed to the values of the agency, with one vision: Achieve the mandate of the agency: ending violence against women and empowering them economically an politically, constructing peace societies for women and empowering those at the center of the spaces in which we have incidence. The office has an inclusive culture within it´s team, with stakeholders and beneficiaries, this is strengthened with training processes and internal dynamics, that allow to encourage and develop this sensibilities. 100% of the staff and consultants has an awareness of the responsibility to represent UN/UNWomen in any space. Our inclusive culture includes to encourage women and people with disabilities to apply in the vacancies. The atmosphere of the office is so respectful of race, believes and sexuality, no body is been judged, the tolerance is a one of the biggest values in our team.

    UNWOMEN Honduras has an average of 8 weeks to enroll new staff from the recruitment process to the hiring of candidates, and motivate them when they start in the agency to take all the mandatory courses at the beggining, the compliant of this in the whole office is around the 70%. The major modality of contracts is Service Contract and the average length of employment is around 3 years.
