UN Women’s Albania Strategic Note 2022–2026 promotes gender equality and women's empowerment, acting on gender-related challenges and national and international commitments to resolving them. Key locations include Tirana and other urban and rural regions.  

The Strategic Note prioritizes gender-responsive governance, women's economic empowerment, ending violence against women, and women's participation in peace and security. Approaches comprise gender-responsive budgeting and institutional capacity-building to effectively implement and monitor gender equality policies.

Major partners, encompassing central and local authorities, civil society organizations and international actors, enhance programmatic reach and effectiveness. Expected outcomes include improved gender equality policies and increased women's participation in decision-making. Strategic Note direct funding supports capacity-building and the implementation of gender-responsive initiatives, amplifying impact.
