UN Women’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific Strategic Note 2023–2025 supports gender equality and women's empowerment through presences and programmes in 22 countries, and technical support to UN country teams in 23 countries.

The regional office focuses on inclusive governance; ending violence against women and girls; women's economic empowerment; women, peace and security; women’s leadership, including in disaster risk reduction; and gender-responsive climate action. Key approaches include leveraging UN coordination to strengthen knowledge and thought leadership across the region, and regional joint programming on areas such as ending violence against women and girls, enhanced safe migration and counter-trafficking, and gender-responsive climate action. 

Major partners include governments, intergovernmental bodies, women-led organizations and broader civil society, UN entities and private sector actors. Expected outcomes comprise improved gender-responsive policies and increased women's leadership. Strategic Note direct funding supports these initiatives, amplifying their impact.
