UN Women’s Central African Republic Strategic Note 2023–2027 focuses on gender equality and women's empowerment, including in the regions of Bangui, Bria and Bangassou, where it supports post-conflict recovery and social cohesion.

The programme prioritizes peace, security and reconciliation as well as a renewed social contract and economic recovery. Approaches comprise supporting transitional justice mechanisms and enhancing women's participation in peace processes, towards stabilizing and rebuilding communities.

Major partnerships with local governments, civil society and regional organizations such as the African Union enhance the programme's reach and accelerate progress on gender equality and social cohesion. Strategic Note direct funding supports women's economic empowerment, significantly boosting impact and sustainability.
