UN Women in Guatemala works in partnership with the government, academia, the private sector, civil society and international cooperation organizations to achieve gender equality and make the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals a reality for women and girls, supporting the equal participation of women in all aspects of life, focusing on four strategic priorities:

• Ending Violence Against Women 

• Peace, Security, Humanitarian & Disaster Risk Reduction

UN Women has worked in Guatemala since 2005 initially under the UNIFEM program and since 2012 it has operated as the UN Women Country Office.
