UN Women’s Morocco Strategic Note 2023–2027 supports advances in gender equality and women's empowerment aligned with the national New Development Model (2035) for a productive and diversified economy, enhanced human capital, reduced inequalities, and empowered, resilient territories.

Implemented across Morocco, the programme focuses on responses to violence against women; shifting cultural resistance and discriminatory social norms; women’s economic empowerment as a lever for inclusive development; governance and women’s participation in public life; the production of gender-sensitive statistics; innovative and sustainable financing; and support for Morocco’s Women, Peace and Security National Action Plan.  

Major partners comprise national institutions, civil society organizations, research bodies, the private sector and financial actors. These collaborations, leveraged through strengthened UN system coordination, aim to enhance programme effectiveness and contribute to transformative change.
