UN Women’s Palestine Strategic Note 2023–2025, which strives to advance gender equality and women's empowerment, was formulated prior to the war on Gaza and escalating levels of violence in the West Bank. Key locations for support include rural areas and refugee camps.  

The programme aligns with three UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework outcomes, prioritizing women's economic autonomy, ending violence against women and girls, and enhancing women's leadership in peace and security. Approaches comprise capacity-building, advocacy and policy reform.

Major partners encompass government bodies, civil society organizations, international agencies and philanthropies. These collaborations enhance the Strategic Note’s effectiveness and reach. Significant outcomes include improved access to justice and women’s increased participation in decision-making. Strategic Note direct funding boosts the impacts of these initiatives.
