Services, policies and strategies for the prevention, assistance and elimination of gender-based violence are accessible, have good quality and leave no one behind.
Subnational mechanisms enhanced the development of policies and actions to address gender-based violence (GBV) as a result of the strenghtening of dialogue and exchange facilitated by UN Women. A notable example is the reconvening of the Consejo Consultivo de Sociedad Civil in Jujuy Province, which laid the foundation for creating an action plan to combat GBV for the 2025–2027 period. This effort, supported by UN Women, will include the provision of technical assistance to ensure its effective development. The vigilance and activism of NGOs and feminist movements were further bolstered by dialogues, exchanges, studies, campaigns, and other opportunities facilitated by UN Women. These initiatives played a pivotal role in maintaining civil society's advocacy efforts. A notable example of this mobilization was the 37th Plurinational Meeting of Women and Diversity, held in the province of Jujuy, which received UN Women’s support and highlighted the importance of collective action in the current context.
