Some progress was made towards this Outcome in 2024. Preparations were made for the launch of the third round of the Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Gobal Award for Women's Empowerment.
Enhanced policies and regulatory frameworks strengthen conditions for economic diversification, employment creation, rule of law, and increased resilience and innovation (UNSDCF Outcome 3)
Progress was made towards achieving this Outcome in 2024. Analysis of drivers for women's labour foce participation in now available for national consultation and validation. Leading prive sector entities in Bahrain confirmed their commitment to advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community by signing the CEO statement of support to the Women's Empowerment Principles.
UN Women is an accountable and trustworthy development organization that manages its financial and other resources with integrity and in line with its programmatic ambitions and fiduciary obligations.
UN Women's financial and human resources, as funded 100% by the Government of Bahrain as a Net Contributing Country, were effectively leveraged to drive UNCT technical capacity and accountability for gender mainstreaming for results.
UN Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support for and financing of the gender equality agenda, while securing sustainable resourcing for the delivery of its own mandate.
National stakeholders have increased awareness of UN Women's mandate and priorities, through consistent messaging in meetings, public events and communications and media of UN Women's triple mandate and alignment with national development priorities on gender equality to achieve Agenda 2030.
