ACTION PLAN FOR INTEGRATION OF GENDER IN PARLIAMENTARY PROCESS The National Assembly's Gender Committee has adopted an action plan for integrating gender considerations into parliamentary work. The plan was adopted by the members of the commission. UN Women contributed to its development by providing technical expertise, which involved strengthening the capacities of committee members. OPERATIONAL ACTION PLAN FOR GENDER IN THE CITY OF KINSHASA The provincial gender ministry, with technical support from UN Women, has adopted a gender action plan. The 2026–2027 strategic work plan of the Political Participation and Women's Leadership sub-group has been validated. The 2026–2027 strategic work plan of the Political Participation and Women's Leadership subgroup has been validated; the Ministry of Gender, through the Political Participation subgroup, has evaluated the actions and validated a two-year action plan. UN Women provided technical and financial support for the development of this plan. The latest report on gender statistics in the DRC reveals that 70% of SDG gender indicators lack available data. Among the 18 priority SDG gender indicators identified for the DRC, 44% that is, eight indicators are entirely missing. This report was produced with the technical and financial support of UN Women. To address this critical data gap, stronger advocacy for increased investment in statistics is essential. Initiatives such as UN Women’s Women Count , which aims to strengthen gender-responsive statistics, deserve particular attention. To move forward, several priority actions are required: Adoption of a statistical law to guide and regulate national statistical activities; Strengthening provincial directorates of the National Institute of Statistics, through support in human resources, financing, and equipment; Increased public funding dedicated to statistics, with specific attention to gender data within the SDG framework; Mobilization of external funding from technical and financial partners to support initiatives for gender data collection and analysis. The national biodiversity strategy in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been developed and adopted. It incorporates objective 23, which aims to promote gender equality as a primary objective within the strategy. UN Women, alongside other partners, has provided technical support to strengthen stakeholders' integration of gender considerations into development strategies and the use of gender statistics. A gender action plan, along with a civil service roadmap, has been developed. 30 experts, including 17 women, received capacity-building training on gender and statistics. UN Women provided its technical expertise. Following this capacity-building session, a roadmap was developed to implement gender mainstreaming in the civil service and the production of statistics.
