World Bank Income Classification:Low Income
The World Bank classifies economies for analytical purposes into four income groups: low, lower-middle, upper-middle, and high income. For this purpose it uses gross national income (GNI) per capita data in U.S. dollars, converted from local currency using the World Bank Atlas method, which is applied to smooth exchange rate fluctuations.

Significant progress was made in this area during the year. For this reporting period, this activity was not carried out and remains ongoing. However, the country office has supported the implementation of a national strategy to end violence against women and girls and harmful practices. This strategy is currently being revised to take account of new trends in preventing and responding to violence against women. It is a program run by the Bureau d'appui au gouvernement centrafricain through the Ministry of Gender to promote gender equality in the country. Technical expertise is made available to the Ministry for this purpose.Disclaimer and notes
