    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

Improved management of human resources in pursuit of results

India Office has continued to maintain a good turnaround time for the recruitment of SC and SSA staff. While the FT process is still very time consuming and can take between 4-6 months depending on the suitability of candidates and their ability to join, there is far greater efficiency in concluding an end-to-end recruitment process of SC and SSAs. It may be noted however that centralisation of the contract/offer issuance by UNALL has led to significant increase in the time for the conclusion of the hiring process.

Nurturing an empowered workforce and advancing an inclusive UN- Women culture: With its unique and inclusive culture, UN-Women is an employer of choice with a diverse and highly performing cadre of personnel that embodies UN values

In 2025, the India Office strengthened an empowered and inclusive workforce by promoting staff capacity building sessions (n=15), professional development, and knowledge sharing across all functional areas. The Office ensured equitable opportunities for all staff, fostering diversity, gender equality, and an inclusive organizational culture aligned with UN values. Mandatory trainings, including security, OHS, and operational systems, were fully implemented, and performance management processes were applied consistently to recognize high-performing personnel. These measures enhanced staff engagement, accountability, and morale, reinforcing UN Women’s status as an employer of choice while maintaining a high-performing, motivated, and diverse workforce.
