National actors, including the Higher Committee for Supporting Women in Elections, NDIW, and HCWD, are managing these processes through government-designed frameworks, nationally delivered training modalities, and institutional structures, reflecting solid ownership and sustainability. The establishment of the National Women’s Mediators Network, with 32 selected mediators, and the capacitation of 110 national trainers across all governorates further institutionalized national capacity to support women’s participation in peacebuilding and the 2025 electoral cycle, including through the integration of VAWP prevention into government-led training systems. This progress has been supported by UN Women through the co-development of national frameworks, delivery of training programmes, and sustained engagement with government counterparts to embed these mechanisms within state structures.
