By 2024, communities are managing natural resources and the environment in a sustainable and equitable manner and are more resilient to the adverse effects of climate change
During 2024, UN Women Mali made a significant contribution to the resilience of communities impacted by the effects of climate change through the implementation of the project to support the improvement of sustainable livelihoods, mitigation and adaptation of fishing communities to climate change (PACP) and the project to restore Sahelian ecosystems through agro-sylvopastoral and aquaculture activities to strengthen the resilience of populations in the communes of Soboundou and Soumpi. As a result, 1,594 rural women have strengthened their resilience to the effects of climate change thanks to two projects financed by the climate fund implemented by UN Men and its partners. They are now very active in sustainable agriculture, fish farming in cages and ponds, combined fish farming (avipisciculture), fish conservation and processing (smoking and drying fish).
Access to energy sources has been strengthened in UN Women's areas of intervention, where 2180 women and women's enterprises have gained access to solar materials and equipment to strengthen their production and marketing capacity thanks to UN Women's support. They can now use equipment such as solar pumps, a negative solar cold room and solar dryers in rural and urban areas. The women's agri-food businesses that have benefited have thus reduced their production costs and their dependence on conventional electricity.
By 2024, vulnerable groups, including women, children, adolescents and youth, have more equitable access to quality basic social services, according to their age and gender-specific needs, including in humanitarian situations.
Vulnerable groups of people have access to basic social services of good quality thanks to the social and economic reintegration activities initiated by UN Women. 100 women and girls facing multiple forms of intersecting discrimination (GBV survivors, people living with disabilities, people living with HIV, people living with albinism) that are being reinforced, are self-employed and able to support themselves and their families. These women from the regions of Kayes, Sikasso, Bamako, Ségou and Koulikoro are now able to run their own businesses thanks to UN Women's esthetics training and estetics kits. More than 200 girls from Bamako, Sikasso, Bougouni and Koutiala have strengthened their skills on menstrual hygiene management through the training sessions organized by UN Women and are able to manage their menstruation with dignity thanks to the menstrual hygiene management kits provided.

By 2024, people are resilient to conflict, live reconciled and in harmony in a peaceful and secure environment that respects human rights and positive cultural traditions. The support provided by UN Women has enabled the Police and the Ministry of Reconciliation to implement the action plan (2024-2026) against GBV. In addition, thanks to UN Women's support, the process of developing a gender strategy and action plan for the justice sector has begun. Failure to achieve this indicator will result in the end of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement. The elaboration of framework documents such as the HNO and the HRP included technical contributions from UN Women on aspects related to taking into account the specific needs of women and girls; UN Women had an effective presence and made a technical and financial contribution within the framework of humanitarian coordination and frameworks for exchange and follow-up of actions related to gender mainstreaming in humanitarian action; 8 meetings of the network of gender focal points were organized with the contribution and participation of UN Women. At this stage, 2 women's civil society organizations are members of the humanitarian country team, through their participation in the Platform of National NGOs Active in Humanitarian Action (PONAH).
