Advancing partnerships & resourcing; Effectively influencing for impact & scale
Donors such as Norway, Denmark and Sweden have ceased funding due to the end of direct bilateral cooperation, and have closed their embassies in Bamako. The country office has submitted several project documents to donors such as Japan and Spain. The 2024 annual review of UN Women Mali's Strategic Note was an opportunity to mobilize 150 actors and stakeholders (implementing partners, beneficiaries, UN PFA, governmental actors, donors) to take stock of the Strategic Note's achievements, and highlight new challenges. On the last day of the meeting, the “Group of Ambassadors Committed to the Cause of Women in Mali”, known as the “musow ka ??taa” Platform, brought together diplomats from Burkina Faso, Canada, Belgium and ..... It should be noted that, despite efforts to mobilize resources during the year under review, the country office was affected by the country's political context. The office took part in a workshop on resource mobilization held in Saly, Senegal, in October 2024.
In view of the cessation of institutional funding (Denmark and Sweden) amounting to over 5.7 million USD for 2024, and in order to meet the growing needs of government partners and communities. The UN Women Mali office undertook a restructuring of its organizational chart in 2024. The human resources available are working hard on the 5 thematic priorities: governance and women's leadership, women's economic empowerment, ending violence against women, the Women, Peace and Security agenda, and gender in humanitarian action.

a significant improvement in recruitment times is to be considered for FTA,SC and UNV Staff ,a new HR strategy is being established with so downsizing of staff number, some total of 11 staff left organization duringf the year 2024, the office resigned 10 staffs contract due a economic situation ,1 staff got another opportunities in other UN Agency, the turn over rate wa over than 20%,the office expected that the Economic and political situation will approved and give us opportunitties of fund raising ibn 2025 for improved and give sustainable contract for staffs . the office did some well being activities that improved the workrelationship and reduce stress.The office set pu a SECTO during 2024 for staff that was in field office in ali regions based in Mopti and Gao. the office expected a percentage of 100 for PMD and mandatory training during 2024. the office had 3 professional staff compone by 2 female for a percentage of 66.67% of staffs.
Effective normative, programmatic and coordination products, services and processes:
The management of projects and programs has been improved by strengthening the monitoring system, focusing on results through the development of monitoring and evaluation tools and training in monitoring and reporting. Knowledge products (evaluation reports, study reports, periodic narrative reports, donor reports and statistical bulletin) - 21 reports produced by 2024: 21 reports were produced in 2023 and uploaded to DAMS. These include an annual report (2023), which constitutes the strategic progress note and was shared with the institutional donor and TFPs, 17 donor reports and 3 financial reports. - 2 study reports were written and distributed - Two statistical bulletins: Women in the Mining Industry - Mali and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) - Mali. The support provided for the development of results frameworks, support for project selection through the Local Project Assessment Committee (LPAC) and training sessions for IPS contributed to the achievement of this result. The 2025 annual work plan was drawn up taking into account the strategic note, the 2022-2025 strategic plan and the results of the United Nations Development Cooperation Fund (UNSDCF). The duration of the strategic note and the UNSDCF has been extended for a further year. The evaluation of the strategic note and the evaluation of the project financed by Spain have been finalized.
