Advancing partnerships & resourcing; Effectively influencing for impact & scale

UN WOMEN Senegal has advanced strategic partnerships and has been able to effectively influence gender equity and equality at the national level. - The launch of the AWLN Senegal chapter mobilized women leaders around strengthening women's and girls' leadership and advocating for women's economic empowerment and the fight against all types of violence. - The organization of the Heads of State Summit on Positive Masculinity to strengthen the commitment of men to the defense of women's rights - The organization of International Women's Day, the campaign "All Together Against Violence Against Women and Girls" under the leadership of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, mobilized all categories of actors: administrative authorities, elected officials, parliamentarians, traditional and religious leaders, young women, civil society organizations, etc. - UN-WOMEN Senegal co-leads the gender thematic group of bilateral and multilateral partners with Canada: an action plan has been developed and implemented to advance the inclusion of gender equity and equality in the various programs. During the 16 Days of Activism campaign, the GTG organized an advocacy and exhibition activity on violence against women and girls: - The WGG developed and presented an advocacy brief to the G15 on the Parity Act and peaceful elections for the July 31, 2022 legislative elections. - WGG members contributed to the CAR 2022 draft report on issues relevant to them. - The completed commentary matrix was shared with the G15, who incorporated the WG's key messages into the recommendations presented at the CAR 2022 national validation workshop - In the United Nations system, UN-WOMEN Senegal is a member of the program committee and has actively participated in the evaluation of the UNDAF and the elaboration of the CCA. The thematic group "Gender, Human Rights and Disabilities" is co-chaired by UN-WOMEN and the OHCHR, and the Gender Score Card is produced with the support of UN-WOMEN. An action plan is developed to implement the recommendations. - Communication materials are developed and shared for all projects of the Senegal office and shared with the different partners. - UN Women Senegal has supported the Ministry of Women in the implementation of the action plan of the resolution 1325
