OEE 2: UN-Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support for and financing of the gender equality agenda, while securing sustainable resourcing for the delivery of its own mandate
In line with the UN Women Strategic Note 2025-2029, communication activities focused on key programmatic areas: Women, Peace and Security—including conflict-related sexual violence; Women’s Economic Empowerment—with an emphasis on promoting women in previously male-dominated professions; Governance—focusing on women’s meaningful participation in decision-making and recovery processes; and Humanitarian Action. Overall, UN Women Ukraine developed and implemented 17 communication campaigns and hosted around 20 big UN Women-led and partner events. To ensure strategic, coherent, and visible communication, UN Women Ukraine adopted a national, multi-stakeholder approach anchored in the “Of Course, You Can” umbrella communication campaign and aligned with the visual identity of the UN Women Strategic Note. Under this platform, four sub-brands were developed and implemented to support specific UN Women programme priorities: She Drives — supporting women’s reskilling and employment in the transport sector; She Made — promoting women-led micro and small businesses; She Leads Ukraine — strengthening women’s political participation and leadership; She Demines — promoting women’s participation in the security sector, including training and employment in humanitarian mine action.
