    More women and girls in West and Central Africa have equitable access to high quality public goods, services, jobs, and resources that are responsive to their needs.

    UN Women has worked with public and private sector institutions in West and Central Africa to improve delivery of economic services that addresses women’s and girls’ needs, in areas such as access to finance, with a focus on climate finance, access to green jobs and entrepreneurship, access to care infrastructure and access to markets for women entrepreneurs via public procurement.

    More women and girls in West and Central Africa have equitable access to high quality public goods, services, jobs, and resources that are responsive to their needs.

    Women and girls in West and Central Africa are getting better access to goods, services, jobs and resources, through a better enabling environment created by UN Women, as well as increased capacity that UN Women provided to them to participate in the economy. Key results are: Public Procurement Opportunities : Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, and Côte d'Ivoire : UN Women has been involved in promoting gender-responsive procurement reforms to enhance women's participation in public procurement opportunities. Climate Finance and Green Economy : Efforts have been in Senegal made to improve access to climate finance and entrepreneurship opportunities in the green economy. These initiatives have significantly contributed to better access to goods, services, jobs, and resources for women and girls in the region, fostering a more inclusive and supportive economic environment

    More women and girls in West and Central Africa have equitable access to high quality public goods, services, jobs, and resources that are responsive to their needs.

    The RO supported the Senegal National Health Insurance Agency (CMU) to adapt services and delivery mechanisms to the needs of female farmers. As a result, , 1000 rural women have enrolled in the national health insurance, and have access to health insurance for the first time, with coverage extending to their family members (circa 7000 people).
