UN Women SAMCO, jointly with ESARO, collaborated with the Government of South Africa under the leadership of the National Treasury and the Department of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities to strengthen the government of South Africa's skills and knowledge in applying gender-responsive budgeting.

The office has focused on adapting and evolving its approach to achieve large-scale impact. This was achieved through strategic planning and transforming its business model, the organization ensures that its efforts are aligned with its mission to promote gender equality and empower women worldwide. While operating in the Middle Income countries, through the Women Economic Empowerment Portfolio UN Women and its partners have been working with government of Botswana, Namibia and South Africa since 2017 to identify women in the low-income informal sector to support ensuring that no one is left behind

Effective normative, programmatic and coordination products, services and processes: UN-Women efficiently and effectively discharges of all business processes that advance integrated delivery of its mandate at HQ, Regional and Country levels, including through shared services.
SAMCO has safeguards that all business processes are well-organized and streamlined, in 2024 SAMCO has better advanced its mandate, which is to promote gender equality and empower women. These processes are interconnected, allowing UN Women to deliver its programs and services in a unified and cohesive manner. This approach has enabled SAMCO to be more responsive, effective, and impactful in achieving its objectives, ensuring that resources are used optimally and that outcomes are aligned with its goals. This has been confirmed delivery rate at 53% in 2024 as compared to 42% in 2023.

SAMCO Strategic Note (2024-2025) was very transformative, that has ensured that its business model is aimed at achieving large-scale, sustainable impact. With current leadership it has been for SAMCO to address complex and evolving challenges related to gender equality and women's empowerment in all SAMCO Countries. The focus has been continuous quality improvement, DATA Quality Management and Monitoring and Reporting of the results which reflects a commitment to refining SAMCO strategies and operations over time, ensuring that interventions are not only effective but also efficient. This approach has supported SAMCO to build on past experiences and challenges, continuously evolving to meet its goals in a more impactful way.
