Throughout the fiscal year 2023, notable enhancements were observed within the Indonesia Country Office, specifically in the areas of 1) Operational management, 2) Financial oversight, 3) Administrative processes, and 4) Human resources administration, all driven by a dedicated pursuit of achieving significant and impactful results. The improvements in each of these facets signify a comprehensive effort to refine and elevate the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the office's functions. The ensuing detailed explanation will delve into the specific advancements achieved in each domain.

During FY 2021 the Business Con plan (BCP) and Internal Control Framework (ICF) are in place and updated regularly based on the changes/additional staff/team in the Indonesia CO. HR and recruitment process are completed and all the required posts for on going and new projects have been completed. During this reporting period the delivery rate of 80% in total has been achieved and projected to be achieved by 87% by closing book FY 2021 ( 31 January 2022) , in spite of the challenges in programme implementation a , resulted from better management and on going support both internally and/or provided by the regional office.

In 2024, the UN Women Indonesia Country Office faced several challenges in the recruitment process. The office's HR function relied heavily on support from the HR team at UNDP Indonesia for the recruitment of both SC (Service Contract) and FTA (Fixed-Term Appointment) personnel. This dependency on external support presented some delays in the recruitment process. However, a significant achievement came in November 2024, when the HR Associate for UN Women Indonesia Country Office joined the team. With this new position in place, the office was able to take full ownership of the recruitment process for SC and FTA personnel, thereby improving efficiency and reducing reliance on external support.
In terms of performance management, the office successfully completed its annual performance management and development reviews within the designated timelines, ensuring that staff members received timely feedback and developmental support. This achievement demonstrates the office’s commitment to fostering a performance-driven culture and supporting staff growth and development.
Additionally, in relation to mandatory training, the Indonesia Country Office reached a significant milestone by achieving a 100% completion rate for all staff members. This reflects the office's dedication to ensuring that all personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet organizational requirements, reinforcing a culture of continuous learning and compliance with UN Women’s policies and standards.
Despite some challenges, 2024 has been a year of substantial progress, with the office overcoming key obstacles and achieving notable successes in both recruitment and staff development.
