UN WOMEN Senegal has advanced strategic partnerships and has been able to effectively influence gender equity and equality at the national level. - The launch of the AWLN Senegal chapter mobilized women leaders around strengthening women's and girls' leadership and advocating for women's economic empowerment and the fight against all types of violence. - The organization of the Heads of State Summit on Positive Masculinity to strengthen the commitment of men to the defense of women's rights - The organization of International Women's Day, the campaign "All Together Against Violence Against Women and Girls" under the leadership of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, mobilized all categories of actors: administrative authorities, elected officials, parliamentarians, traditional and religious leaders, young women, civil society organizations, etc. - UN-WOMEN Senegal co-leads the gender thematic group of bilateral and multilateral partners with Canada: an action plan has been developed and implemented to advance the inclusion of gender equity and equality in the various programs. During the 16 Days of Activism campaign, the GTG organized an advocacy and exhibition activity on violence against women and girls: - The WGG developed and presented an advocacy brief to the G15 on the Parity Act and peaceful elections for the July 31, 2022 legislative elections. - WGG members contributed to the CAR 2022 draft report on issues relevant to them. - The completed commentary matrix was shared with the G15, who incorporated the WG's key messages into the recommendations presented at the CAR 2022 national validation workshop - In the United Nations system, UN-WOMEN Senegal is a member of the program committee and has actively participated in the evaluation of the UNDAF and the elaboration of the CCA. The thematic group "Gender, Human Rights and Disabilities" is co-chaired by UN-WOMEN and the OHCHR, and the Gender Score Card is produced with the support of UN-WOMEN. An action plan is developed to implement the recommendations. - Communication materials are developed and shared for all projects of the Senegal office and shared with the different partners. - UN Women Senegal has supported the Ministry of Women in the implementation of the action plan of the resolution 1325

Enhanced quality of programmes through knowledge, innovation, results-based management and evaluation in UN Women Senegal
The UN Women Senegal program increased its visibility through the internal communications unit which facilitated coverage of key strategic events and partnership with digital influencers and the media. As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence campaign, activities and events were organized: a panel discussion on the theme "Entrepreneurship in the Creative Industry and Violence" followed by a fashion show organized at the Delegation of Rapid Entrepreneurship (DER) . During this event, several women entrepreneurs and self-entrepreneurs shared their experiences, the Soweto Square, in front of the National Assembly of Senegal, was branded with the colors of the campaign, and was inaugurated by the Minister of Women and the Vice President of the National Assembly. A round table "Sport, violence and women's boxing" gala closed the campaign of the 16 days of activism, a video clip was produced and released by Daara-J, an international renowned Senegalese rappers group. Their song served as the anthem of the 16 days. They also organized a concert at the French Institute downtown Dakar. In terms of overall communication, the Senegal program was supported by the regional office. Social networks were the the privileged canals to ensure the visibility of main activities. Articles were also published on Senegal’s page of the UN Women Africa website. In2021, the Senegal Program prioritized monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, which contributed significantly to improving the quality of UN Women Senegal's project management. UN Women Senegal staff are fully aware of their accountability for results: More than 15 programs and operations staff from the Regional Office for West Africa and PP Senegal have strengthened their capacity on results-based management,GST, sexual exploitation and abuse, travel, advances, RMS ATLAS mapping. These trainings were facilitated by the PP Senegal M&R officer with colleagues from the WCARO M&R unit ; the 2021 Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 quarterly reports were written and submitted in accordance with RO reporting guidelines in a participatory manner; Senegal's PP budget and finances were tracked on a day-to-day and monthly (month-end closure) basis to ensure the funds were spent in accordance with WCARO PPSU guidelines and the annual work plan, including ; RMS, LEADS, DAMS were also completed on time. PD financial and narrative reports were regularly reviewed, 2 donor reports, including 2 narrative reports were written and submitted to donors (BNP Paribas and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
