Strategic Note Outcome Progress NoteShowing data of :2021

Peace talks, recovery, conflict resolution and peace building planning processes include women’s participation and promote and protect women’s human rights.

The normalization in the BARMM which is part of the peacebuilding process has included women's participation. Through UN Women's leadership, 20 local action plans to translate the specific provisions of the Regional Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security into concrete actions were completed in 2021. The action plans embody the framework and commitments of these engaged institutions on how they will fulfill, promote and protect the rights of women living in areas where there are active armed conflicts. Women participated in these planning processes hence they influenced not only the contents of the plans but these processes have become the platform where women had the opportunity to influence governance.
