In 2021, in line with its three-pronged mandate, UN Women Sierra Leone implemented programmatic, coordination and normative interventions as a contribution to addressing the inequalities between men and women from different angles. The Country Office worked to strengthen women’s leadership increased and substantive representation in leadership and political positions and ending violence against women particularly in the humanitarian, peacebuilding and development contexts.
