    Advancing Partnerships & Resourcing

    UN Women worked on increasing its relevance through fostering strategic partnerships with other actors in the country, offering its gender expertise while ensuring the effectiveness of gender mainstreaming in all sectors. The office developed a communications plan. In terms of communication and knowledge management activities, communication contributed to global agendas through its social media platforms. Support was also provided to the UN Country Team through the UN Communications Group. The communications officers, in collaboration with the program managers, ensured good visibility of donors and UN Women during the implementation of the various projects. The communication officer also covered the 16 days of activism and developed a Knowledge Management Plan as part of The Strategic Note annexes.

    More effective and efficient strategic partnerships on gender equality and women’s empowerment are developed within the United Nations system coordination.

    UN Women worked on increasing its relevance through fostering strategic partnerships with other actors in the country , offering its gender expertise while ensuring the effectiveness of gender mainstreaming in all sectors. In addition, the office led and coordinate the Technical Gender Working Groupe and Gender Working on Election, and facilitate a UNCT meeting dedicated on women issues and role of the UN System, including gender analysis in the CCA, Final evaluation of previous UNDAF+ 2018-2022 and UNDCF process, joint programming and joint resource mobilization. UN Women closely worked to develop in the reporting year 5 joint programme: "Strengthening the recovery and reintegration of women and girls through climate-resilient agriculture to bring peace and reconciliation to CAR after conflict"; Under the leadership of UN Women, the project is jointly implemented with FAO and focuses on women's resilience in agriculture in climate change context; "Communication and Awareness for Social Cohesion in CAR" Under the leadership of UN Women, this project is jointly implemented with UNFPA and Search for Common Ground and focuses on Strategic communication on the Peace Accord (APPR) and on the effective engagement of women, youth and media in fostering peace and social cohesion; "Support for Victims and the Central African Population to Access Justice and Truth" Joint Project implemented with UNDP and focuses on ensuring access to transitional Justice. "The Election for Women, my Voice, my Right" focuses on supporting women and girls’ effective participation in the electoral processes in CAR and is implemented in collaboration with UNDP through funding from the Basket fund led and managed by UNDP; “Supporting the response to Covid-19” funded through “Ezingo”, part of the CAR MPTF and implemented in collaboration with IOM, UNDP and UNAIDS; "Promoting women's rights and strengthening their economic empowerment during and beyond COVID-19" in collaboration with UNDP. Also, 2 news projects funded and will implemented in 2022: - “ Appui au dialogue social et communautaire inclusif pour la paix en république centrafricaine » PNUD : $ 1 995 259.50 ONU Femmes : $ 1 513 333.64 - « Appui au processus de guérison des traumas individuels et collectifs des communautés dans les localités de Bria et Bangassou en vue de la prévention des conflits et des violences » ONU Femmes: $ 1,018,730.47 UNFPA : $ 481,268.88 - « Support to the Pointe-Noire-Brazzaville-Bangui-N'Djamena Multimodal Transport Corridor Development Project - Phase 1 » with a women's economic empowerment component for UN Women. IOM : 820,000 UN Women : 920,633 UNHCR : 729,301 ILO : 1,801,757
