Improved management of financial and human resources in pursuit of results

In 2023, UN Women in Chile made significant progress in its financial and human management model. This is due to the necessary adjustments to move towards a country Office and be able to implement the Strategic Note 2024 - 2026. In this regard, a resource mobilization specialist and a Gender-based violence specialist were hired, areas that did not have responsible professionals. This has allowed UN Women to position itself in matters of violence against women and to have collaborated in the design process of the National Plan against violence against women, to influence migration and immigration policy as well as to position itself in the system by integrating the PSEA team. . Additionally, progress was made in the competition for an operations analyst who will allow us to have a head responsible for the office's operations. Regarding resource mobilization, it will allow this area to be improved in an articulated manner, projecting the financial sustainability of the office. In financial terms, 95% of the budget was executed. Regarding reports to donors, 100% were submitted on time. In terms of challenges, it is important to generate a monitoring and evaluation system as well as consolidate the resource mobilization area. In terms of operations, implement a procedure that allows generating a system that integrates the financial area, human resources, monitoring and management of the office in general.
