UN Women-Haiti continues to emphasize on a conducive environment promoting safety, performance, and wellbeing among staff despite the challenging country environment and partnerships with government actors, women organization private sector and CSOs. From safety, performance, and wellbeing of staff, the Country Office facilitated the remote work leading to the program's functioning and access to stress counselor while safeguarding the security of staff and assets according to the office’s business continuity plan. Collaboration with regional office and HQ was deepened especially in operations, resource mobilization and programming to reinforce humanitarian action and women leadership and political participation. So, The Office continues to benefit from support from R O and HQ to improve budgeting and reporting. As the financial gains of the country office combined with the financial support of the HQ and the RO resulted in UNWomen Haiti benefitting from the support of a program Manager at the end of the year that helps coordinate the portfolio of the existing and new projects. These actions led to better organizational efficiency in accordance with the strategic objectives and mandates of UN Women. From partnership perspectives, financial and technical support were provided to enhance capacity and performance of all partners contributing in gender matters.

The annual retreat for staff was conducted from March 28 to 31, 2023 at the Karibe hotel in Port-au-Prince with the participation of the Representative, the Deputy Representative of UN Women in Haiti and 27 staff members including staff on the regional office. The Main objectives and outcomes of the annual retreat 2023 include the establishment of the key elements of the Strategic Note (SN) about UN Women in Haiti for the period 2024-2027. Some of the results achieved include: - Analysis of the 2022 results in light of the recommendations that have been formulated; - Formulation of recommendations to accelerate the implementation of programs effectively and efficiently during the year 2023; - Identification of the strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities of the office and the team and define mechanisms to transform weaknesses into strengths; - Definition of main lines and directions of the 2024-2027 strategic note; - Reflection on the feedback obtained from a consultation process with partners (in the context of the new strategic note) and integrate these contributions into the NS. - Strengthening of the spirit of teamwork among staff members; - Adoption of new working arrangements for the year 2023. - Facilitation of the induction of new staff members - Increase of team members' knowledge of Quantum

A straff retreat was conducted and included important training for all the staff for them to strengthen their capacities. regular meeting, surge capacities and NorCap and GenCap mobilized during the critical periode from september 2022; revision of the office organogramme and implementation of the evaluation conducted in 2021 were key for the office to enhance it's organisational effectiveness.
