Enhanced effective communication and visibility of UN Women’s GEWE results through effective partnerships
There is the sustained engagement of partners to advance GEWE through the provision of strategic advisory and leadership leading to the advancement of GEWE issues. This has been achieved by the Country office co-leadership in the development of Kenya’s Commitment framework under Generation Equality. The framework provides a blueprint to guide the country’s efforts toward concrete actions towards the prevention and response of GBV. In addition, the Country Office supported the State Department for Gender in the elaboration concept note that on regional and county-based activation of Kenya’s generation equality commitments with the aims of localizing and rolling out the commitments at the county level and mobilizing for resource allocation at the county level. The Country Office has also strengthened strategic partnerships with existing stakeholders as well as established new ones including with CSOs and embassies of France and Mexico in the inter-generational dialogue that reached 500 young people who domesticated the 12 commitments and made their declarations and commitments on ending violence against women and girls, and private sector - HP.
