The CAR office demonstrates that strategic partnerships and strong advocacy can mobilize support and financing for gender equality, while also securing resources for its own mandate. Yet, sustaining these gains requires: deeper institutional capacity-building, diversification of funding sources, and stronger coordination mechanisms to ensure that advocacy translates into lasting reforms. the UN Women CAR office is a trusted and innovative partner in advancing gender equality, but must continue to balance ambition with sustainability in a fragile and resource-constrained environment.

In implementing this Strategic Note 2023 - 2027, the UN Women Central African Republic office, as guarantor of gender equality and women's empowerment, contributes to an ecosystem of coordination, governance and management mechanisms with the government, technical and financial partners, UN agencies and civil society, particularly women. Despite the multi-sectoral challenges of coordinating with governments and civil society to promote gender equality and integrating gender issues into national policies, the UN Women office in the Central African Republic has been able to mobilize USD 6,957,710.96 from 2023 to 2024, and is starting 2025 with USD 5,771,021.00 in funding to promote equality in CAR. However, the GAP remains enormous, as the Strategic Note estimates that USD 38,772,941.89 would be needed to enable the Republic to address gender equality issues.
