In 2024, the GTG has made significant progress in advancing UN personnel knowledge on GEWE through BrownBag Session “Care Economy” on June 28 th and “Gender Mainstreaming in the National Mid-Term Development Plan” on September 23 rd . Additionally, the accountability of commitment towards GEWE was also captured during the Q3 quarterly GTG meeting on September 6 th , where several feedback and comments were discussed with RCO to strengthen gender-mainstreaming in the new CCA draft. Furthermore, the GTG has also collaboratively reviewed and assessed the gender and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) analysis in the UNSDCF 2021-2025 evaluation report, which have provided the evaluator with feedback to improve the quality of the evaluation report.

Enhanced coordination, coherence and accountability of the UN system for commitments to gender equality and women's empowerment

Under the coordination of RCO, commitment towards GEWE in the UNCT was shown through collaboration with Gender Thematic Working Group (GTG). Through active leadership of UN Women and UNFPA in the GTG as well as PSEAH, inter-agency joint efforts successfully shown meaningful contribution towards the advancement of GEWE at the country team. A GTG collaborative session was conducted in 2023, which aimed to support the Results Group in developing gender-related results paragraph for the UNSDCF annual report. GTG meeting, conducted in October 2023, also became an opportunity for UN Agencies to collaborate together in decision-making for UN-wide gender-related issues. In addition, the enhanced coordination occurred to also support measuring and reporting gender results captured in the Gender Equality Scorecard, as well as supporting DMEL group in gender-sensitive monitoring and reporting by facilitating the DMEL training in collaboration with DMEL group.

Enhanced coordination, coherence and accountability of the UN system for commitments to gender equality and women's empowerment

In 2025, UN Women had led the effort of the UN System in Indonesia to align the accountability reporting on Gender (UN System Wide Approach/SWAP Gender Scorecard), Youth Scorecard, Disability and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harrassment (PSEAH) into an integrated cross cutting UNCT Annual Report to be initiated in 2026. This alignment was proposed and presented in UNCT Retreat on 14 November 2025 and adopted as action points. In this proposed alignment or harmonization, the efforts of UNCT on gender, youth, disability inclusion and PSEAH will be made into a collective endeavour under the joint leadership of UN Women, UNESCO and UNFPA, ensuring that each accountability reporting results, progress and action points will be made into a collective commitment of the UN in Indonesia as part and parcel of the Country Development Framework implementation (2026-2030). This will be a pilot in its kind, to put commitment into actions in the Cooperation Framework, seamlessly integrated into programmes and operations of the UN system. One of the actionable points as will be done in Q1 2026 on Gender parity, youth and disability inclusion of the Human Resources Working Group Annual Plan.
