SP OEE Outcome Area 2: Promotion of partnerships and resources; effectively influencing impact and scale: UN Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications, and advocacy capacities to increase support and funding for the gender equality program, while ensuring sustainable resources for the fulfillment of its own mandate

To date, the Strategic Note 2022–2025 of UN Women El Salvador remains highly relevant, with its implementation actively progressing. The Country Office has refined the 2024–2025 Work Plan to align with the evolving social, economic, and political context, ensuring the effective achievement of the anticipated results. In 2024, UN Women has promoted women's empowerment and gender equality, strengthened institutional visibility, and supported the establishment of key alliances and resource mobilization, based on the UN Women El Salvador Communications Plan. This plan is aligned with the office's programmatic priorities, its triple normative, programmatic, and operational mandate, and the country's political, economic, and social context. During 2024, 68 strategic events were covered, prioritizing the visibility of training processes in the areas of Women, Peace, and Security (WPS), Political Governance, and Economic Empowerment. Among the most notable events were the Women Entrepreneurs Fair, the Financial Inclusion Forum, and activities held as part of the 16 Days of Activism. The latter included the presentation of the third report from the Indigenous Violence Observatory and the launch of the Manual Against Violence Faced by Women in Politics, consolidating key alliances with institutions such as the Attorney General's Office and the Supreme Court of Justice. One of UN Women's key achievements in 2024 was its establishment as an international authority on issues related to the rights of Indigenous women, highlighted by the publication of a feature in "El País". In 2024, the UN Women website underwent a significant transformation, becoming a comprehensive repository that highlights the office’s achievements and the impact of its territorial work. Through the publication of 46 articles, the platform systematically documented results in rural and community settings, while amplifying the importance of key international milestones, such as the International Day of Rural Women and the anniversary of Resolution 1325. This enhanced digital presence enabled UN Women to better showcase its outcomes, improve knowledge sharing, and highlight its role as a catalyst for change in local communities. In addition, the introduction of quarterly newsletters in the third quarter further strengthened partnerships by providing strategic allies with concise updates on major accomplishments and initiatives. These efforts not only deepened institutional relationships but also elevated the visibility and credibility of UN Women’s work at the national and international levels. Moreover, UN Women implemented 10 strategic campaigns on social media in 2024, including the global initiative #CambiasLasReglas, an innovative 15-episode podcast series, and campaigns addressing issues such as cyber violence and the rights of indigenous populations. These efforts reached 239,425 users, resulting in a 2.9% growth in reach and a remarkable 33.3% increase in video views, establishing video content as a pivotal format for engagement. Although there was a 34.6% decline in new followers, the total volume of posts—758, a 59.9% increase compared to 2023—ensured the office’s sustained relevance in the digital sphere. These strategic digital and media efforts enabled UN Women to amplify its advocacy on critical issues, enhance public awareness of its mission, and foster greater engagement with diverse audiences. UN Women achieved 40 media mentions in 2024, including international collaborations and strategic publications that reinforced its institutional narrative. The office also maintained a strong presence in national media, with features in print, television, and radio that underscored the impact of its initiatives.
