UN Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support for and financing of the gender equality agenda, while securing sustainable resourcing for the delivery of its own mandate.
National stakeholders have increased awareness of UN Women's mandate and priorities, through consistent messaging in meetings, public events, UN Women / UNCT communications of UN Women's triple mandate and alignment with national development priorities on gender equality to achieve Agenda 2030. More than 15,900 people accessed information on the Bahrain programme in 2024 through UN Women socal media. This coverage included information on UN Women's coordination mandate manifested in co-leadership of the Gender Theme Group; UN Women's participation in the Ring the Bell event at Boursa Bahrain; UN Women's participation in the SDG 5 data roundtable co-organised with the Ministry of Sustainable Development; and profiles of leading Bahraini women.
