Outcome progress note for the year

Improved organizational effectiveness with a focus on robust capacity and efficiency at country and regional levels

The ability of UN Women to mobilize government structures at the national level around Outcome Group 6 (gender equality)

UN-Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support for and financing of the gender equality agenda, while securing sustainable resourcing for the delivery of its own mandate.

By 2023, the UNW office in Côte d'Ivoire has on the one hand established and strengthened its partnerships with government entities, the private sector, the media, universities and philanthropists to support its mandate, and on the other hand ensured greater visibility of its work with its partners through wider and more systematic dissemination of the results achieved. 11 government bodies, including the Ministry of Women, the Family and Children, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of the Interior and Security, the Ministry of Planning and Development, the Ministry of Employment and Social Protection, the Ministry of Solidarity and the Fight against Poverty, etc., 10 private sector companies including Fin'elle, Kaïzene, Endeavour Mining, Ecobank, Fondation Orange, Confédération générale des entreprises de Côte d'Ivoire, etc. and 10 civil society organizations, namely Pojafci, Gofehf, le réseau des médiatrices de paix, etc., have all worked closely with the CO. 356,128 people were reached by our publications on the Twitter and Facebook social networks, and 24 video capsules produced in 2023 to highlight the OC's actions were viewed by 52,596 people on Facebook and 7,200 people on Twitter.

UN-Women effectively leverages and expands its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support for and financing of the gender equality agenda, while securing sustainable resourcing for the delivery of its own mandate.

In Côte d'Ivoire, UN Women effectively leverages and develops its partnerships, communications and advocacy capabilities to increase support and funding for the gender equality agenda. Through strategic collaborations with key stakeholders in the business and government ecosystem, UN Women is able to mobilize resources and strengthen the impact of its initiatives. These concerted efforts raise public awareness of gender equality issues and promote inclusive policies that empower women. At the same time, UN Women ensures sustainable resources for the implementation of its own mandate. By strengthening its communications capabilities, the organization can disseminate powerful messages and effectively coordinate its advocacy actions through a variety of channels. This not only ensures continued support from donors and partners, but also maximizes the impact of interventions in the field. Ultimately, these efforts contribute to creating an environment conducive to gender equality and women's empowerment in Côte d'Ivoire.
