Outcome progress note for the year

[Advancing business transformation:] UN-Women strategically plans for and transforms its business model to deliver impact at scale, through agile and ethical leadership rooted in a continuous improvement culture.

The Government of Egypt executed approximately 50% of the ECO's overall advances, allowing for UN Women to reach multiple governorates and many women. However, in 2022 and 2023, UN Women's overall delivery was impacted significantly by both administrative delays as well as interministerial coordination issues. UN Women ECO requested the ROAS team to provide more support going forward on how these partnership modalities could be differently contracted to avoid such large advances remaining unliquidated.

The Government of Egypt executed approximately 50% of the ECO's overall advances, allowing for UN Women to reach multiple governorates and many women. However, in 2023 and 2024, UN Women's overall delivery was impacted significantly by both administrative delays as well as interministerial coordination issues. UN Women highlighted this as a challenge in their cover note for the 2025 AWP submission to the ROAS team to provide more support going forward on how these partnership modalities could be differently contracted to avoid such large advances remaining unliquidated.
