    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

    Advancing partnerships and resourcing

The output has been partially achieved. UN Women has been working throughout the year 2023 to build new partnerships: 1) more than 40 organizations engaged in the 16 days campaign. This year there was an increase in participation of high-level policy makers from state and private sectors, bringing an unprecedented public attention to the campaign. The Head of the Cabinet of Ministries of the KR opened the Ceremony of Launching of the Campaign on 16 days of activism against VAWG making the political statement on the political will of the country management for promoting GEWE agenda and EVAWG. During the Ceremony the Head of the Cabinet of Ministries of the KR declared about the approval of the State Programme on WiL. 2) more than 20 organizations engaged in the Peace Week initiative. UN Women as a member of Peace Hub in Kyrgyzstan acted as a co-organiser and co-convener of the Peace Week together with the 7 Hub members. The Peace Week has become a dynamic platform for fostering connections and collaboration across diverse sectors. It has exemplified the value of working collectively and has contributed to building mutual trust between CSOs, the business community and authorities 3) two new companies signed the ESG as the result of the EXPO 2023, plus 202 women entrepreneurs improved their access to resources 4) two new NGOs engaged as implementing partners into project implementation – Search for Common Ground and Civic Platform – bringing in an extensive expertise in the areas of peacebuilding and civic activism. 5) five academic institutions signed a number of MoUs to promote gender-sensitive journalism.

    Advancing partnerships and resourcing

The output has been partially achieved. UN Women has been working throughout the year 202 4 to maintain existing and build new strategic partnerships to push GEWE agenda forward and mobilize additional funding for this.
