    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

With its unique and inclusive culture, UN-Women is an employer of choice with a diverse and highly performing cadre of personnel that embodies UN values.

In 2024, the country office reinforced its inclusive organizational culture by prioritizing staff well-being, leadership development, and adherence to UN values. A 100% participation rate was achieved for senior managers in corporate surveys and leadership training programs during their first two years of appointment, and while the CO did not launch personnel surveys, interactions with staff during the retreat, quarterly review meetings, and the staff happy hours as well as other staff engagements indicated a positive trend in staff perception of empowerment and engagement, highlighting the impact of measures to strengthen team cohesion, reinforcing improved morale as critical for a high-performing workforce.

With its unique and inclusive culture, UN-Women is an employer of choice with a diverse and highly performing cadre of personnel that embodies UN values.

During the year under review, the CO encouraged and supported staff members to participate in transformational leadership training programmes within and outside the country and online. Up to 15 staff members also had the opportunity to participate in different leadership training opportunities and programs. The CO also gave portfolio managers, mostly national staff, the opportunity to effectively engage in the overall leadership and decision-making processes of the CO through the establishment of an Extended Senior Management Team. This initiative is providing staff members with the opportunity to enhance their leadership knowledge and skills through experience sharing and learning from senior colleagues.
