More women lead, participate and have access to business opportunities to advance sustainable and inclusive growth
In 2021, more conducive environment for women in business and workplace was promoted through UN Women's proactive engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders through the following: 1. Discussions and engagement with company regulators, policy makers and stakeholder groups to revisit required reporting requirements to ensure integration of gender data and indicators in sustainability reporting; # policy discussions/dialogues and consultations: 3 # participants: 79 2. Encouraged private sector groups to implement, adapt and localize policies that would promote gender inclusive, responsive and safe workplaces; #participants to WEPs related awareness and learning sessions: 1,305 3. Linked women entrepreneurs through a platform that would allow them to exchange knowledge and information in terms of sustaining and scaling their businesses; #participants in knowledge exchange platforms and events: 1,171 4. Multiplied the number of private sector companies committed to adapt and implement women's empowerment programming through signing the Women's Empowerment Principles. # of WEPs signatories: 92

UN Women through WeEmpowerAsia promoted and expanded opportunities for women to lead, participate and access business opportunities through policy, programming, capacity building as well as adaption and implementation of the Women's Empowerment Principles. In total it has seen accross its three outcome areas the following: 24 Number of events and participants, categorized as follows: Policy related discussions - 8 events, 2628 participants including views(1820), without views 808 All discussions and events linked to entrepreneurs and MSMES - 6events, 473 with views(200) without views 273 WEPs activation and promotion - 8 events, 1139 participants And towards it closing event, a face to face stakeholder's appreciation/closing ceremony with 75 participants.
